5 Great strategies to help Speed Fat Loss

For the next 5 weeks I will be giving you 5 small tips that can help speed up fat loss. Let’s face it, we all want the magic solution to help us to lose body fat and to help us create a body we can be proud of, but I will let you in on a secret, having a toned body with some muscle definition and a flat stomach takes some work and dedication. If you work at it every day and implement small changes, overtime those small little efforts will pay off.

My first strategy to help speed up fat loss is:

Low Vitamin C levels.

If you don’t have enough vitamin c in the bloodstream it has shown to slow down fat metabolism. The amount of vitamin c in the bloodstream is directly related to fat oxidation- the body’s ability to use fat as a fuel source during rest and exercise.

Paul Cribb PhD wrote that Nutrition researchers from Arizona State University conducted a study on 20 overweight men and women over a 4 week period and those not given vitamin c (500mg each day) showed lower levels of this vitamin in their bloodstream each week. As vitamin c blood concentrations fell so did the ability for these men and women to utilize fat. Vitamin C seems to play an important role in fat utilization as a fuel source.

This water soluble vitamin can’t be stored in the body, so taking daily doses are necessary to shed body fat. By increasing your vitamin c to 500mg per day by increasing your fruit and vegetable intake along with a supplement is a simple but effective way to help promote better fat loss.

· Kale * Cauliflower

· Kiwi fruit * Sweet potato

· Broccoli
